VILLA IN UMBRIA

Set within the grounds of a private estate in the Umbrian countryside, The Pavilion sits at the highest point of the property, with uninterrupted views across the surrounding valley. Conceived as an extension of the main residence, it was designed as a place for entertaining, long lunches, evenings with friends and quiet moments overlooking the landscape.

The pavilion unfolds through a series of interconnected rooms, including two sitting areas, a dining space, a pool room, private cinema and cigar lounge. The interiors are generous without feeling formal, allowing each space to serve a different purpose while remaining connected through a consistent material palette and carefully considered detailing.

Many of the key pieces were designed specifically for the project. A bespoke geometric floor defines the main sitting room, while the dining table and curved sofas were commissioned to respond to the scale and architecture of the space. These contemporary elements sit alongside a collection of original Gio Ponti seating, introducing the character and quiet confidence of Italian mid-century design.

The staircase is one of the pavilion's defining features. A bespoke balustrade, created with handcrafted Murano glass, becomes an architectural focal point, combining traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary language.

Throughout the project, custom-made furniture, collectible design and natural materials create interiors that feel layered rather. Every piece has been selected for its relationship to the architecture and to the landscape beyond, resulting in a home that feels settled, personal and deeply connected to its setting.
